Dispensing Services Will End on 25 September 2026
Following a recent review of dispensing eligibility under NHS regulations, Fowey River Practice will no longer be able to dispense medicines from Polruan Branch Surgery after 25 September 2026.
What does this mean?
✅ Polruan Branch Surgery is NOT closing
✅ All GP and nursing services will continue as normal
✅ You will still order your prescriptions through the practice
✅ Your prescription will be sent to a pharmacy of your choice instead
What do I need to do?
Over the coming weeks, please:
- Choose a pharmacy you would like to use
- Tell us your preferred (nominated) pharmacy
- Contact us if you need help with accessing your medicines
Our team will be happy to help you make these arrangements.
Need your medicines delivered?
Some pharmacies offer delivery services.
In addition, Boots Pharmacy, Fowey has agreed to provide a free delivery service for affected patients living in Polruan when they present the letter they receive from the practice with a code on it.
